2024 Spring Season Registration (closed)

Hi MGSA Families, Fall Season has officially come to a close. Congrats to all teams who participated and endured weekends of recreation play and for those teams that woke up at 5am for tournament games, we salute you! We hope the girls came away with lasting friendships and a continued love for softball.

REGISTRATION
Spring Ball will be from late-January through mid-May, with 1-2 practices a week tentatively. Games are played once a week throughout the week (AM or PM), depending on the age division. Unlike the fall, Spring rec play is recreation games only. Teams will not be formed with the sole intention of engaging in tournament play.

Looking forward to new and returning players - GO MGSA!

What is MGSA?

Millbrae Girls Softball Association (MGSA) is a non-profit, community-based, all volunteer organization supporting girls softball (ages 4-16). MGSA is entirely volunteer run, from our team coaches and managers, to our field crew, to our Board of Directors.

Why Choose MGSA?

By playing with MGSA, you'll join a great community of families excited about youth softball. Millbrae is a relatively small town, but we've had multi-generational families come through our program, and then go on to play high school and even Division 1 softball. We've even had former players-turn-moms, returning with kids of their own!

Umpires Needed

The Peninsula Youth Umpires Association is currently seeking umpires for the upcoming season. Our organization umpires all girls USA (formally ASA) fast pitch softball leagues on the peninsula and coast side. Umpires are paid on a per game basis. Games are played during the week and weekends. You choose when you can work.

About you: 16yrs or older, current or past experience playing organized softball/baseball or be a student of the game. Past experience as a softball/baseball umpire a plus, but not necessary.

The PYUA will provide on the field training and rules clinics to all umpires.

For more information please contact us MGSA President Or Pete Sakelarios, PYUA President (pete-anne@comcast.net)

Cost and Equipment

We never want anyone not to play softball because of financial constraints. We keep league fees low and offer both scholarships and equipment-lending to anyone with specific needs.

Interested in Coaching?

Coaching is an incredible opportunity to create a shared experience with your daughter/player and to help encourage lifelong participation in sports. It can also can be very intimidating, especially at higher levels when your players are more informed, but we are here to help!

Rec vs. Travel Ball?

MGSA is a rec-first league, but we realize the importance of having our own youth B/C level travel team. Our Mischief team plays in the summer and ofttimes fall. To learn more, visit our Mischief page.
